Involving patients and the public in our work

As an alliance we bring together clinicians and managers from health, social care and other services, and people with lived experience of cancer, to transform diagnosis, treatment and care.

Our patient and public experience work sees us:

  • striving to achieve meaningful co-production and co-design for service improvements
  • seeking the involvement of people with lived experience of cancer, their friends, family, and others
  • ensuring everyone is able to contribute, irrespective of age, race, gender, disability, belief
  • building links with under-represented communities
  • working collaboratively to improve cancer services
  • avoiding overlap and duplication when gathering information
  • informing patient partners of changes made following their feedback.

More details can be found in our patient and public involvement strategy, available on request.
