Our Kent and Medway Cancer Alliance skin cancer prevention and awareness campaign Be Skin Smart can be found at events across the county this summer.

Outreach partner Social Enterprise Kent (SEK) is taking the campaign out on the road as part of its Cancer Smart Programme.

From large community events to school fairs, the SEK team will be out and about giving tips on staying safe in the sun and raising awareness of the signs and symptoms of skin cancer.

This Sunday (12 July) they will be at Dartford Big Day Out in Central Park and next month, on 4 August they will be at the Dover Seafront Summer Safety event, then on 11 August, they will also be at the Deal Seafront Summer Safety event.

Lisa Bates, Community Engagement Projects Manager, at SEK said: “As Kent and Medway Cancer Alliance's outreach partner, we are taking the Be Skin Smart campaign out to events throughout the summer months.

“If see you us, come over and say hello and pick up some of the awareness raising materials we'll have with us. We look forward to meeting you.”
